Body parts have been painted, photographed, written about and generally explored for thousands of years.
From feet fetishists to intellectuals of aesthetics, including the average observer, everybody has studied the body.
And at the top of the hierarchy of the body is the face, the most expressive part of all, and mirror into the soul.
This is what the exhibition Face, Head and Shoulders is about: Portraits. Curated Flemming Ove Bech & Johan Rosenmunthe and supported by The Danish Arts Counsil and The Copenhagen Committee for Visual Arts, the show brings together portraits from 27 artists that experiment with the photographic medium.
The exhibition will also host the talk: Self publishing Clinic with David Schoerner (Hassla Books) & Mårten Lange and a slideshow and talk with Hester Keijser
The variety of nationalities, styles and concepts should allow for a fresh and stimulating show. Dope!
